Tokyo, Japan 🇯🇵

I recently visited Japan in January 2019. We were there for 3 days and we stayed at the Mercure Tokyo Ginza Hotel. The hotel is in a good location with lots of shopping and places to eat around the area. There’s also a subway station underneath the hotel. As well as Yurakucho Station.

Getting There and Back

We flew in from Tokyo Narita Airport. There are buses at the airport that you can take to get to your hotel like taxis. The one we took was an orange bus called Friendly Airport Limousine. From Narita Airport to Gina takes an hour and a half.

However, on the way home we had a tough time buying tickets to get back to the airport because there were only a few buses with 24 hour time schedules and most of them only accepted 1 bag to put in the storage (when we had 2 bags each to put in storage). The bus that fit our criteria was Keisei Bus and their ticketing station was near Tokyo Station.

Here are some of the places we visited:

Yodobashi Camera Akihabara

AKA my favourite place on Earth because who doesn’t love cell phone accessories. They also sell a variety of things as well like beauty and skin care items, suitcases, souvenirs, games, appliances, and any electronic thing you could think of. We had dinner at Yamahan Yodobashi Akiba on the top floor. There were so many selections to choose from, we circled the place twice with the amount of options. The udon was SO good! Outside Yodobashi near the subway station we had Taiyaki and they were so good because they were fresh and fluffy. We originally tried one just to try it but after one bite we ended up getting a box of 6.

Shibuya Crossing

We ate dinner at Genki Sushi and it’s one of the sushi restaurants where you get to order from an iPad and it will come to you on a boat. We also did some shopping around the area.

Tsukiji Fish Market

We went to the market very early and got to eat at Sushi Zanmai which is one of the most popular places to eat at. EVERYTHING WAS SO LIGHT, SIMPLE, AND DELICIOUS.
