September 2019 Makeup Favourites
Wow I can’t believe September is finished! To be honest I thought my September felt pretty long because I had a jam pack month. I have a lot of good makeup and skin care recommendations for us dry skin people out here!
Milk Makeup Hydro Grip Primer
I decided to get the sample size version to see how I would like it. I liked the idea of this primer because it’s sticky and should last on the face throughout the day. I had to try it out slowly because the first two times I wore it in a row it broke me out on my forehead. The next week, I decided to try it again on a day where I was going to be outside all day and the weather was super hot. This primer makes your skin look super smooth, healthy, and plump. You can also apply this primer in certain areas that you need it to the most. My makeup looked pretty decent at the end of the day considering how hot and sweaty I was. It really just secures your makeup in place.
Catrice Liquid Camouflage Concealer
Shade 048 Desert Beige
This concealer works great on dry skin. I’ve been using this lately with a combination of an oil primer for no makeup days. It has amazing full coverage and really hides the redness in my face.
Glossier Lash Slick Mascara
To be honest the first time I tried this I was between mascaras and didn’t really enjoy the formula of it but, I did enjoy the brush because it really coated my lashes. I decided to give it another chance so I bought a new one. I didn’t go between using different mascaras because I wanted to really test it and I LOVE IT! I love it because like I said before it really coats every single eyelash and doesn’t look clumpy. It’s super natural looking and at the end of the end there’s no trace of smudging under your eyes.
Cover FX Monochrome Blush Duo
Shade: Soft Peach
I’ve never really been a blush person until now. This blush is so beautiful and natural looking. It’s nice soft peach blush that just gives a nice touch of warmth to your face. I personally like the matte side better.
Colourpop - So Juicy Plumping Gloss
Shade - Dress Code
It has come to the point where I have to have this lip gloss with me in my bag at all times. That’s why it looks a bit worn out already lol. I love wearing this by itself because it’s hydrating, not sticky, and adds a sheer colour to your lips. It’s minty and gives a little tingly feeling but I love it.
Colourpop Just A Tint
Shade: Gimme S’more
This lip crayon is so nice for days where you just want a natural look. It’s a beautiful peach colour that is the same colour as my lips. It’s comfortable, light weight, and a bit sheer but you’re able to build up the pigment. It’s just easy to wear and perfect for everyday.
3CE Cover Pot Concealer
Shade Medium Beige
It took me a long time to figure out how to use this concealer properly. I’ve learned that you really have to warm up the concealer with your finger. I don’t really use this all over my face instead, I use it as an eye shadow primer. I love using it as an eyeshadow primer because it smooths out my eyelids and really helps bring the pigments of the eyeshadow to life.
3CE Velvet Lip Tint
Shade: Go Now
This is such a comfortable lip tint. I personally love getting another brush or using my finger to gently apply it on. It’s a pretty mauve pink shade and just makes your lips look super soft. It’s comfortable to wear all day.
Colourpop Blush Stix
Shade: 25/8 and More is More
These are so pretty! I love using these with a brush. They apply so smoothly and are super bright. More is More is a pretty peachy pink duochrome with gold glitter specs. 25/8 is a matte mauve peach color.
Real Techniques - Brush Crush Volume 3 - 001 Foundation Brush
I personally don’t like thick handled brushes because I travel a lot and it’s just too bulky. With this one it’s nice and skinny and reminds me of the Morphe Y6 Brush that I love.
DHC Lip Cream
This is another lip product that I always have in my purse. It’s buttery, smooth and makes my lips so moisturized.
